This website is for sharing my family history. Some of you have already done your own searching. I wanted to make something easy to share what I found with others.

After I retired, I was fortunate to spend much more time with my mother. She recently turned 95 (August 10, 2024) and we frequently talk about what it was like for her growing up. She would occasionally recall something I never heard before. I started looking things up for her to verify or fill in the details. I started looking at census records, obituaries, and newspaper archives. Before long I was discovering records for births, marriage, divorce, death, draft registrations, and immigration.

I was learning where my grandparents immigrated from, and some snippets of what their life was like. I thought I would write about what I knew about them, backed up with the records I could find. I also looked into Yolanda's family so our children would know as much as they can about their family.

​

My children will gain the most from this in its entirety. Other family members (siblings, cousins, nephews and nieces) may gain some knowledge about related family members. 

​

This has been a joy for me. After others view this blog, they may have more to add, so this may not be a final project for some time. 

​

There are so many family members, and so much information, that I decided to create separate blogs for different family members and topics. I will release a new one every week or two. 

​​​

This journey to trace our family roots and heritage has been a rewarding and enlightening experience.
